Students had the opportunity to work with renowned Korean film crew on the 2023 hit Korean Drama, “The Day.” This immersive experience was not just about witnessing the behind-the-scenes magic of television production, but also the school’s initiative to integrate real-world experiences into the students’ learning journey.

The Cambridge Primary Curriculum aims to help students become confident, responsible, innovative learners. The curriculum for English, Math, and Science is intended to engage students in an active and creative learning journey.
The curriculum is designed using a student-centered approach aimed at fostering self-expression, promote problem-solving abilities, and building an understanding of concepts through hands-on activities and collaborative projects. This approach seeks to develop in students a passion for learning and develops skills that lay the foundation for lifelong learning.
The active learning journey is built upon proven pedagogical approaches including inquiry-based learning where learners learn by addressing and posing questions, analysing evidence, connecting such evidence to pre-existing knowledge, drawing conclusions and reflecting upon their findings.
Students’ academic achievement is benchmarked according to the Cambridge assessment tools such as the Primary Insight and Checkpoint Test. These assessment tools leverage on interactive computerised evaluations of reading, mathematics, and general ability skills, as well as a summative tool that measures proficiency in English, Mathematics, and Science at the end of primary education.

The Grange Institution, through its “Green Granger” initiative has won the Best Environmental Initiative award at the Singapore Education Awards in 2021 and 2022. Following this, for the second consecutive year, The Grange is proud to be recognised as one of the Sustainable Schools of the Year at the Singapore Education Awards in 2023 and 2024. Holistic Curriculum
We offer “The Grange Edge” through a holistic integration of academic disciplines, specialised subjects, and thematic units. Students adopt the Cambridge International Primary Curriculum, to build foundations in literacy and numeracy, in addition to specialised knowledge and skills in Technology, Music, Art, Languages and Physical Education. The Cambridge Global Perspectives programme equips students with essential skills for the future, fostering critical thinking, research, and collaboration as they investigate real-world challenges.
Learners shown an improvement in 2024 at the Cambridge computer-based assessments with 77% of students performing above the global average scores in mathematics and reading abilities.

The Grange is one of the very few schools who has all specialist subjects and co-curricular programmes included within the school fees and timetable. Beyond Classroom Learning – Green Granger Trail
This year, The Grange introduced the “Green Granger Trail,” featuring five distinctive zones such as Climbers Creepers and the Fruit Tree Zone. These zones serve as living classrooms designed to nurture curiosity and deepen students’ understanding of the natural world. Students can touch, feel, and smell over a hundred varieties of fauna, fruits, and vegetables in the school’s continually growing eco-food forest.
Continuous Facility Improvement
This year, The Grange renovated a new hall to further enhance its focus on the performing arts, fully air-conditioned and equipped with brand new audio, video, and visual systems. A new canteen space will be available in January 2025 to accommodate growing enrollment.
By mid-2025, The Grange will have its brand new sports facilities, including a 7-a-side turf pitch, street soccer courts, and a FIBA-certified basketball court, offering students more opportunities for physical activity and future competitive sports.

The Grange International Preschool (TGIP) is the preschool extension of The Grange Institution.
The International Early Years Curriculum (IEYC) provides the foundation for the learners at TGIP during the earliest stages of their learning journey. Students are taught real-life skills through learning blocks such as Young Botanists, Young Chefs, Young Musicians, Young Sportsmen and Young Artists. These promote inquiry and also foster thinking, social, collaborative and self-management skills.
Offering the International Early Years Curriculum (IEYC) for students ages two to six, our future-focused curriculum equips students with aptitude for academic and personal successes through various learning opportunities.
The IEYC places the child at the heart of the curriculum, ensuring that learning is personalised and that the curriculum revolves around the needs and interests of the child. It supports key areas of learning through enquiry and play-based approaches, encompassing all curriculum areas including personal, social and emotional development.
Being a school positioned to develop global citizens of the world, the children will be given opportunities to develop a loving relationship with plants and especially common plants found in Singapore homes and gardens.
Children will be exposed to basic knowledge about food groups and ingredients to develop their knowledge of nutritious food and nutrition in a practical way. Eating patterns that begin in childhood affect health and wellbeing throughout life.
Children will use their senses to explore colours, materials, textures, space, lines and shapes involving tools, manipulation, techniques and construction. They will explore how these exists in 3D and 2D forms and can change through manipulation.
Children will start to learn about basic hygiene, self-awareness of their body and the importance of maintaining a healthy and balanced diet. Children will start to learn how to keep themselves safe from harm indoors and outdoors; including water safety, road safety, sun and weather safety and using tools, toys and equipment appropriately.
Children will be given opportunities to explore rhythm and beat by clapping, tapping, banging, stamping and moving. They will enquire into sounds and music through games and play contexts and also exploring sounds and music in the environment.
