The Grange Bags Over 100 Awards at the 4th Chinese Language Festival 2023/2024

The Grange made an impressive mark by winning a total of 112 awards at the 4th edition of this annual event. Hosted by the Chinese Language Festival Association, this festival attracted over 200 participating schools from around the globe.

This impressive showing earned The Grange an invitation to the Education Summit and Teacher’s Seminar in Guangzhou, China to celebrate the school’s outstanding accomplishments. Ms. Chen Lih Jiun, Mandarin Language teacher, represented The Grange at the awards ceremony.

In addition to 49 Mandarin language students earning a total of 112 awards including 40 champions, the school also won Champion for Group Choir and 1st Runner-up for Group Dance. For the second consecutive year, Ms. Chen received the Excellent Teacher Award and Teacher Capability Award. The Grange was also presented with the Excellent Organisation Award, distinguishing itself as one of only eight participating schools to receive this accolade.

Ms. Chen Lih Jiun was presented with both the Excellent Teachers Award and the Teacher Capability Award for the second consecutive year.

Among the 49 participants, 27 students clinched 40 champion awards. Notably, Ethan Khoo Ee Fung, Ysabela Apostol Gonzales and Jaime Inigo Garces Luna won champion in three individual categories, while Sojiro Ishizuka, Mischa Lau, Emma Kuwako, Amanda Simon, Nahal Khan, Saran Yang and Venba Saravanan won champion in two individual categories.

Over the years, Ms Chen Lih Jiun, our Mandarin Language teacher has consistently demonstrated excellence in teaching language proficiency to her students. These recognitions also reflects the collective efforts of the faculty, staff, and administration in creating an environment where both students and teachers can thrive.
