On the 25th of September 2024, The Grange Institution hosted our inaugural Cre8tors Camp under the theme “Young Fashion Designers”. Integrating key competencies such as Construction & Design and Respecting the Environment from Cre8tors-in-Action, this camp highlighted a unique combination of fashion, nature-inspired creativity, and community engagement.
The camp was curated by New York & Singapore-based fashion designer, Annabelle Tok (AnnabelleTTN), who has showcased her work with prestigious brands such as Coach, Kate Spade, Dior, and Hermès.

Participants got to soak up inspiration from nature while exploring the school’s Green Granger Trail, explored the history of fashion and textiles, and even went into sewing and pattern-making. To top it all off, there was a surprise mini runway show on the last day that thrilled their parents.

This culminated in a post-camp fashion showcase at Gardens by The Bay, in partnership with TOUCH Community Services (TOUCH), a nonprofit organization committed to supporting the elderly, families, and the disadvantaged. The runway brought together 10 elderly beneficiaries from, four student volunteers from The Grange, and seven Cre8tors camp participants.

This runway event celebrated not only the fashion creations of our young students, but also highlighted a deeper social cause: raising awareness for the beneficiaries of TOUCH and promoting the benefits of inter-generational interactions.
